Social Media & Marketing Consultant Job Description\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Overview:\u00a0<\/strong>We are seeking a dynamic Social Media & Marketing Consultant to increase our organization’s visibility\u00a0 and strengthen community engagement. This role supports organizational marketing and communications,\u00a0 working closely with the Development Director to bring our programs and youth voices to a wider audience. The\u00a0 consultant will create regular social media content and mentor youth in digital storytelling.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Content Creation & Posting\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Create and publish social media content 2 to 4 times per week, depending on organizational activities and\u00a0 events\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Write original posts highlighting the organization’s mission, programs, and impact to build visibility and\u00a0 community buzz\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Develop short-form videos, engaging captions, and photography as needed\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Review and edit photos and captions submitted by youth participants before posting\u00a0<\/p>\n

Youth Training\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Train up to 4 high school-aged youth on basic photography skills and how to write effective, engaging\u00a0 social media captions\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Coach youth on responsible digital citizenship and best practices for representing themselves and the\u00a0 organization online\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Establish a simple submission-and-review process where youth submit photos and draft captions for\u00a0 consultant review prior to posting\u00a0<\/p>\n

Planning & Communications<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Meet regularly with the Development Manager to develop and update a social media and youth training work plan\u00a0<\/p>\n

Qualifications\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Experience creating social media content required\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter\/X, TikTok, and basic photo\/video editing platforms\u00a0 preferred\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Experience or interest in working with teens\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse races\/ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender\u00a0 identities, cultures, age groups, religions, countries of origin, disabilities, and economic backgrounds\u00a0\u2219\u00a0Excellent verbal and written communication skills\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2219\u00a0Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines\u00a0<\/p>\n

Salary:\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u25cf Independent Contractor position with no benefits; 5-6 hours per week, $25-$35, depending on\u00a0 experience\u00a0<\/p>\n
