GROWMARK FS<\/strong> is\u00a0<\/strong>headquartered in Milford, Delaware with branches in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. GROWMARK FS has about 500 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 13,000 customers. The cooperative does business in seed, agronomy, energy, crop protection, precision agriculture, and custom application. GROWMARK FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 400,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.<\/p>\n

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Serves as the Accounting intern under the direction of the Member Services, Business Region Manager, trains and assists with general Accounting functions.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hands on experience in\u00a0accounting\u00a0field.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Visit FS locations and customers building professional relationships.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Assist\u00a0with account reconciliation and balancing, budget planning, audit preparation, and inventory counts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prepare and analyze financial reports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Follows GROWMARK\u2019s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Performs all other duties as assigned. \u00a0<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Must be pursuing an accounting, finance, or related degree at a 4-year university with the status of at least a second semester junior or first semester senior in good academic standing at\u00a0time\u00a0the internship begins.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Demonstrates\u00a0ability\u00a0to work independently. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision\u00a0making\u00a0and skill development. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ability and willingness to\u00a0participate\u00a0in required training that may include education on GROWMARK\u2019s policies and procedures and\u00a0additional\u00a0training as it relates to the requirements of the position.\u00a0<\/p>\n
