No weekends or holidays.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Work setting:<\/strong> In-person<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Minimum commitment:<\/strong> 14 months<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Anticipated start dates:<\/strong> January, March, June, July, or August 2027<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Application deadline:<\/strong> October 30, 2026<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Gap Year Interview Event:<\/strong> Saturday, December 12, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Bachelor\u2019s degree<\/strong> in a science-related field completed before the position\u2019s start date<\/li>\n<li>Interest in <strong>pursuing medical school or physician assistant<\/strong> school<\/li>\n<li>Availability to work <strong>full<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>time<\/strong> for a minimum of 14 months<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in typing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Professional demeanor and respect for patient privacy<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel to alternate Tareen Dermatology clinic locations as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous <strong>experience in a medical or patient-care setting<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with anatomy and medical terminology<\/li>\n<li>Experience using an <strong>electronic medical record system (EMR)<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare patients for their visits and escort them to examination rooms.<\/li>\n<li>Interview patients and verify their medical history, medications, vital signs, reason for the visit, and other relevant information.<\/li>\n<li>Accompany providers during patient examinations and accurately document medical histories, physical examinations, assessments, and treatment plans.<\/li>\n<li>Document clinical visits and procedures in the electronic medical record under the provider\u2019s direction.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure clinical data, laboratory results, test results, and provider interpretations are accurately recorded.<\/li>\n<li>Generate and submit orders as directed by the provider.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate provider-reviewed pathology results and other clinical information to patients as directed.<\/li>\n<li>Answer and return patient telephone calls promptly and professionally.<\/li>\n<li>Performs procedural site preparation in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares, labels, and transports tissue specimens according to established pathology and laboratory procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Applies postoperative dressings and provides patients with post-procedure instructions as directed by the physician.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a liaison between providers, patients, and clinical support staff.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, clean, organize, and stock examination rooms.<\/li>\n<li>Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.<\/li>\n<li>Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and workplace safety requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Travel to alternate clinic locations when required.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Clinic Locations<\/h2>\n<p>Opportunities are available at Tareen Dermatology clinics throughout the Twin Cities metro area and western Wisconsin:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eagan, MN<\/li>\n<li>Faribault, MN<\/li>\n<li>Lakeville, MN<\/li>\n<li>Lindstrom, MN<\/li>\n<li>Maplewood, MN<\/li>\n<li>Monticello, MN<\/li>\n<li>Roseville, MN<\/li>\n<li>Sandstone, MN<\/li>\n<li>Hudson, WI<\/li>\n<li>Menomonie, WI<\/li>\n<li>Osceola, WI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants will be asked to provide their top three preferred clinic locations. Preferences will be considered, but specific placements cannot be guaranteed. Each employee is assigned a primary and secondary home location.
