Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures, which include positioning patient, adjusting equipment settings to obtain the best density, detail and contrast of the area being imaged and determining proper voltage and exposure.<\/li>\n<li>QC images once taken.<\/li>\n<li>Provides appropriate patient protection following prescribed safety standards.<\/li>\n<li>Assists operative team in preparing patient for procedure to be performed.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in surgical time out, entering patient information into C-Arm.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains facility exposure badges and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Notifies supervisor of equipment repair needs.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains compliance with Texas Medical Board and ARRT educational requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains integrity of lead aprons by performing annual checks.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as Radiation Safety Officer.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains work area.<\/li>\n<li>Stocks room supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.<\/li>\n<li>Attends required meetings and in-services.<\/li>\n<li>Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.<\/li>\n<li>Regular and dependable attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on ARC SharePoint.<\/li>\n<li>Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED.<\/li>\n<li>Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school.<\/li>\n<li>Two (2) or more years of radiology experience with at least one (1) or more years of operating room or ASC radiology experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with all age groups.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with PACS image retrieval and storage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in digital radiography.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:<\/strong> Five (5) or more years of related work experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Certificate\/License<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current licensure as a Registered Technologist through the Texas Medical Board.<\/li>\n<li>Radiological Technologist must be in good standing with American Registry of Radiological Technologist.<\/li>\n<li>Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card or within 60 days of hire required.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform all diagnostic radiology procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Must be customer oriented in order to provide outstanding services to patients, physicians and co-workers.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain awareness of patient privacy, confidentiality and dignity at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team environment and\/or on their own.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to engage others, listen and adapt response to meet others\u2019 needs.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to align own actions with those of other team members committed to common goals.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows and EMRs..
