We evaluate technology infrastructure, cybersecurity protocols, cloud platforms, and system controls to make sure the risks that matter most to the firm and our clients are being managed \u2013 and we report what we find directly to senior leadership and the Board.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As an Internal Audit IT Intern,\u00a0you will sit with the team through\u00a0audit planning and fieldwork \u2013 examining access management, data integrity, network security, and application controls.\u00a0You will help test automated processes,\u00a0review system configurations, and\u00a0conduct risk assessments under\u00a0the\u00a0guidance of IT Audit leadership, then help translate what you find into recommendations technologists actually act on. If you\u00a0like solving puzzles, asking the questions no one else thought to ask, and seeing how technology\u00a0powers global finance,\u00a0we are ready for you.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Walk Away With:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Technical Range:<\/strong> A working foundation across databases, operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, Mainframe), applications, cloud, and cybersecurity \u2013 and the ability to spot the risks and controls that live in each<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Internal Controls Evaluation:<\/strong> How to test control frameworks, find the gaps, and recommend fixes that stick<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Audit Methodology:<\/strong> an introduction to the full audit lifecycle, from planning and execution through to reporting<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Industry Credibility:<\/strong> Familiarity with NYDFS, NIST, COSO, and other standards that show up in every IT audit, cybersecurity, and risk job description \u2013 and a head start toward certifications like the CISA<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>A Seat at the Table:<\/strong> Opportunities to meet senior leaders, hear how they think about risk in their departments, and learn how to explain technical findings to a non-technical audience<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>A Capstone with Visibility:<\/strong> Partner with interns across the firm on a project tackling a real business challenge, and present it to senior leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We\u2019re Looking For:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently a junior in college, entering your senior year in Fall of 2027<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>A background in information technology is required<\/strong> \u2013 through your major, minor, coursework, certifications, a prior internship, or hands-on project work. Common fits include computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, data analytics, software engineering, and management information systems, as well as finance, business, or accounting students with a genuine technology focus<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>A background and demonstrated interest in cybersecurity is strongly preferred<\/strong> \u2013 for example, security-focused coursework, a cybersecurity concentration or certificate, participation in a cyber club or CTF competition, security certifications, or personal projects in areas such as network defense, ethical hacking, threat analysis, or identity and access management.
