The primary purpose of this position is to develop and maintain key customer relationships primarily with Architects, Designers, Contractors and Homeowners through the consultative design function while also supporting the sales teams with consultative sales. The Assistant Consultative Design Sales Rep will help organize and participate in special events for customers and clients in the Showroom.  They will attend industry meetings and networking events when needed.  All Sales Representatives are expected to reach weekly and quarterly set goals as designated by the Sales Manager.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following

Sales

  • Focus on creating relationships with homeowners, contractors, designers and architects to work with Stonewood Products. 
  • Proactively reinforce and differentiate the SW brand and services from competitors to increase sales.
  • Grows sales through the execution of business plans/objectives to drive sales, be profitable and provide superior customer experience.
  • Develop a sales plan to reach sales goals.
  • Follows processes to follow up with customers after sales to include care and maintenance information and products.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of product lines and market trends.
  • Actively listening to customers and determining needs.  Capable of providing suggestions and alternatives to help the customer achieve the desired look of a project.
  • Create price quotes to include shipping and follow up with customers to gather feedback on pricing etc.
  • Maintain a showroom appointment calendar for in-showroom sales visits.
  • Document contacts made via networking channels in HubSpot monthly.
  • Participate is setting up successful designer focused events in the showroom quarterly.

Sales Support

  • Support consultative design, inside, and outside, sales with all Company salespeople and/or new and existing customers.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of the Harwich showroom.
  • Participate monthly training sessions for sales teams on various topics including but not limited to sales tactics, product knowledge, design, etc.
  • Ensure displays are regularly maintained and updated and up to company standards
  • Maintain a customer focused environment that delivers superior customer experience.

Lead Management

  • Follow up on all leads as needed.
  • Must keep organized notes and correspondence using HubSpot.  All points of contact with customers must be logged in daily.  HubSpot usage is required and mandatory.
  • Follow up on open orders daily/weekly and assist with updating orders.
  • Establish and maintain complete customer profiles.
  • Identify all potential customers by using business directories, following all leads, participating in organizations and clubs and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Maintaining all quote documentation with accurate pricing and products specifications.
  • Cold call new customer prospects.

  • Knowledge of various relationship sales techniques
  • Excels in Customer Service: Creates a customer-focused environment; provides excellent service; sees business through the eyes of our customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Able to work in a high paced, dynamic environment.  Ability to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions. 
  • Strong personal change management skills. 
  • Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems.
  • Flexible, creative, and able to work in a non-structured developing work environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to think “outside the box”, communicate and motivate customers on the company’s products, programs and new ideas.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Deliver results: Create a sense of urgency and motivate self to accomplish objectives. Strong organizational skills and proven ability to multitask and prioritize.

Requirements

  • The minimum expectation for full-time status is 35 hours per week onsite at Stonewood property as scheduled by your manager. Some holidays may be required. 
  • You will be expected to attend trade shows and networking events on a regular basis.  As a representative of Stonewood Products, you are expected to always maintain a professional demeanor, to be at work during scheduled times, dress appropriately and complete tasks on time. 
  • Daily travel documentation is required to support business related travel, expenses, and hours worked on company provided forms. 
  • Any approved telecommuting arrangement made will be on a trial basis and may be discontinued at any time at the request of either the telecommuter or the Company and will be subject to all required reporting and compliance requirements.
