Job Title: Public Accounting Operations Intern – Spring 2027

Klatzkin & Company LLP is looking for a motivated freshman or sophomore accounting student to join our team as an Accounting Operations Intern. 

This internship is designed for students early in their college careers who want to gain professional experience, learn how a public accounting firm operates, and begin building the skills they’ll need for future accounting internships and career opportunities. 

You’ll work alongside our operations team and gain behind-the-scenes exposure to the processes that support accountants, clients, and the day-to-day operations of a CPA firm. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with scanning, organizing, and processing client tax documents.
  • Help assemble and prepare tax returns and client deliverables. 
  • Organize digital client files and maintain accurate records. 
  • Assist with incoming documents, mail processing, and other workflow needs.
  • Support accountants and operations team during tax season. 
  • Learn the technology, systems, and processes used in a public accounting firm. 
  • Assist with special projects and other office operations as needed. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Freshman or sophomore pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting. 
  • Interest in learning more about public accounting and the accounting profession. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Comfortable learning new technology and office systems. 
  • Dependable and able to manage multiple responsibilities. 
  • Willingness to ask questions and learn.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Ability to work approximately 15-24 hours per week during the internship.
  • Reliable transportation to our Hamilton, New Jersey office.
