Studio Arts

Artists are most effective when they have time and space to create. That’s why Monmouth University’s B.A. in Art gives them everything they need to enhance the creative process and prepare for a thriving career. The program teaches enrollees to express themselves through visual media while thinking and acting creatively—and career-minded. Painting, drawing, ceramic, sculpture, and printmaking studios allow personal, one-on-one instruction with professional, practicing artists. In this program, traditional studio art is combined with new emerging technologies such as 3D scanning and printing, as well as laser cutting, to give students exposure to different artistic mediums. Professional practice principles including writing artist statements, CVs, and grants will equip you for a successful career in a variety of fields.

This same curriculum is required for students pursuing a B.A. in Art and Education, as they must complete required courses in the School of Education as well.
