All information should be sent to: Monmouth University currently accepts transfer credit from undergraduate courses that a have a grade of \u201cC\u201d or higher assuming the credits come from an accredited institution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, many higher education institutions will temporarily offer students the option to take courses on a Pass\/Fail basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Undergraduate transfer courses taken by non-Monmouth students during the Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 semesters that earn a \u201cPass\u201d grade satisfy the \u201cC\u201d or higher grade requirement, and will be accepted for transfer credit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Undergraduate courses taken during this period with a \u201cFail\u201d grade will not be accepted for credit.<\/p>\n\n\n Monmouth University uses rolling admission, which means the University accepts and reviews applications on an ongoing basis. The preferred application deadlines for transfer students are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Applications received after these dates will be reviewed on a space-available basis.<\/p>\n\n\n If a student has 24 transferable credits or more, the University will only look at the student\u2019s collegiate coursework. If the student has fewer than 24 transferable credits, we will base our decision on a combination of the collegiate and secondary school coursework. Transferable credits are courses in which the student has earned a \u201cC\u201d or better and are 100+ level courses or above. Basic skills courses are not transferable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students with a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or better will be considered<\/em> for admission to the University. Students pursuing a major within the School of Education must have a minimum GPA of 3.00, according to New Jersey State Guidelines. Admission is determined by successful completion of coursework over time and is not automatic; there may be instances when a student with a 2.25 GPA or greater will not be offered admission. This is decided on a student-by-student basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students can transfer up to 69 credits from a two-year institution providing these credits fulfill degree requirements. Students who attended both two-year and four-year institutions may apply a maximum of 24 additional credits at the 200-level or higher. Students who attended a four-year institution only may apply a maximum of 90 credits toward a degree at Monmouth providing these credits fulfill degree requirements. Transfer students must complete at least 16 credits in their major at Monmouth University. If you are a business or education major, learn more about transfer credit restrictions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n Monmouth University welcomes students who are in good academic standing at other accredited colleges or universities. Students who have been dismissed for academic reasons will not be considered for acceptance until at least one academic semester has elapsed following their dismissal. Students who have been dismissed from another institution may not apply for admission until one semester after the date of dismissal.<\/p>\n\n\n All applications to Monmouth University are reviewed on a rolling basis. Students should receive a decision approximately two to three weeks after a student\u2019s application is made complete.<\/p>\n\n\n Students who have left Monmouth University for a semester or less than one year ago without requesting a leave of absence and have not attended another institution during the absence need to fill out a new application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students who have left Monmouth University more than one year ago must complete a new application for admission and provide transcripts from all colleges\/universities attended during the absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students who have been academically dismissed or are on probation will need permission to return to the University from the dean in the respective academic area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
