Monmouth Promise is designed for high-achieving New Jersey high school students who would benefit from additional financial assistance to attend Monmouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-big-body\">Monmouth Promise provides significant financial assistance to eligible students and is awarded after other federal, state, and institutional grants and scholarships. <strong>In combination with Pell, TAG and the Federal Direct Subsidized Loan ($3,500 in the first year), Monmouth Promise will cover the cost of tuition and fees (for 2025-26 $48,468)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-does-the-monmouth-promise-work\">How does the <span>Monmouth Promise<\/span> work?<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-big-body\"><strong>Students are automatically considered for Monmouth Promise upon admission, and submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/strong>. For 2026-27, the FAFSA will be available on December 1, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No separate application for Monmouth Promise is needed.<\/strong> Upon acceptance to Monmouth University and receipt of the FAFSA, students will be considered automatically for Monmouth Promise eligibility. Students may choose to live on campus; however, Monmouth Promise does not cover housing, food costs, and non-eligible fees. Eligibility for Monmouth Promise is determined annually based on the FAFSA, and cannot be used in combination with tuition remission, Tuition Exchange, or the Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange Program (CIC-TEP). Monmouth Promise applies to the fall and spring academic semesters and is not applicable to summer or winter term coursework. Monmouth Promise can be applied towards study abroad ONLY when tuition is assessed by Monmouth University. Students studying at the Washington Center or in the clinical semester(s) of the Clinical Laboratory Science\/Medical Technology programs can receive the funding for Monmouth Promise if they meet all other eligibility requirements.
