Dr. Robin Sakina Mama received her BSW degree from College Misericordia, in Dallas, PA , and her Master of Social Service, Master of Law and Social Policy, and PhD from Bryn Mawr College. As a staff member at the Philadelphia Area Project on Occupational Safety and Health, Dr. Mama was responsible for several projects including projects on both AIDS and asbestos in the workplace, and provided technical assistance to unions on workers compensation, contract language for health and safety, and right-to-know information. At Monmouth, Dr. Mama now teaches in the ICD track of the MSW program.
Areas of interest include occupational safety and health, field education, and cultural awareness and humility in social work practice, international social work and human rights.
