  • Mathematics Gateway Exams

    About the Exams

    All students wishing to enroll in certain math courses are required to pass two gateway exams. Exam 1 should be taken while completing the first two semesters of calculus, as it is a prerequisite for Calculus III and Linear Algebra. Exam 2 should be taken some time during the sophomore year, as it is a prerequisite for Number Theory, Geometry, Probability and Statistics II, Modern Algebra, and Introduction to Mathematical Modeling.

    The exams schedule begins Monday, February 8, 2016.  The exams require 75 minutes.

    Spring 2016 Mathematics Gateway Exams schedule:

    Mondays: 1:15 - 2:35 p.m. in HH308 with Dr. Micah Chrisman

    Tuesdays: 4:30 - 5:50 p.m. in HH309 with Dr. Bonnie Gold

    Wednesdays: 8:30 - 9:50 a.m. in HH308 with Dr. Zachary Kudlak

    Please e-mail the faculty member who is proctoring the exam no less than 24 hours before you sit for the exam.

    If you are late for an exam, it is the discretion of the faculty member as to whether you may take the exam during the scheduled period.
