Research in Chemistry
Dr. Yuan’s main research interest is to develop novel targeted drug delivery systems for gene therapy by using siRNA/pDNA and nanomedicine strategies. The research will contribute to the long-term goal of developing targeted gene therapy systems for clinical applications in the future. Dr Yuan is also conducting research on novel pharmaceutical formulations of anticancer drugs and prodrugs, and enhanced transdermal drug delivery. He is also interested in pharmaceutical analysis, heavy metals, and the quality control of herbal medicines.
