This event is SOLD OUT. However a limited amount of standing room only tickets will be available at the door for $10 (Cash Only). A cavalcade of holiday favorites featuring the Monmouth University Chamber Orchestra, The Jazz Hawks, The Concert Choir, the Chamber Choir, soloists, and a special appearance by the Colts Neck Reformed Church Exultation Ringers, all in the magisterial setting of Wilson Hall.

November 10-12 & 15-19. All shows 8 PM except Sun. matinees at 3 PM. HAIR celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. To an infectiously energetic rock beat, the show wows audiences with songs like “Aquarius,” “Good Morning, Starshine,” “Hair,” “I Got Life,” and “Let The Sun Shine.” Exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, HAIR remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world. Directed by Sheri Anderson.

Shadow Lawn Stage, the professional theatre of Monmouth University, will present the 50th anniversary production of the enchanting musical, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown this June with 10 performances at the historic Woods Theatre on the university’s campus. Based on the famed comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles Schulz, the musical tells the story of some typical days in the life of Charlie Brown. From running after the school bus to spying the cute little red-haired girl at lunch, Charlie deals with the fun and frustrations of life with his friends Lucy, Linus and Schroeder; his kid sister Sally; and his faithful companion, Snoopy. The original production featured Gary Burghoff (Radar in the MASH series). The 1999 revival won 2 Tony Awards – for Roger Bart as Snoopy and Kristen Chenoweth as Sally - and the Drama Desk award for “Best Revival of a Musical”. Monmouth University’s renowned Concert and Chamber Choirs and featured soloists are guaranteed to put a spring in your step and have you whistling some of America’s greatest Broadway Musical tunes.
