HAWKS LADY LINKSTERS PLACE 12th AT RUTGERS INVITATIONAL

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.  – Monmouth University’s women’s golf team finished in 12th place in among a 17-team field at the Rutgers Invitational in New Brunswick, N.J., on Saturday.

Monmouth fired a 356 on Friday and a 353 on Saturday to finish at 709. The Hawks finished 10 strokes behind the University of Maryland-Baltimore County for 11th place.

Jaclyn Lucas led the Hawks’ charges with a 23rd-place finish. She fired an 89 for the opening round and followed it up with a 79 on Saturday to finish at 168. Stephanie Coughlin was the next Hawk on the leaderboard. She finished tied for 45th-place with a two-round tally of 177. Valerie Centanni finished tied for 50th place with a score of 180. Shenoa Vild and Meghan Henning finished in 56th and 73rd place, respectively.

The Hawks’ lady linksters continue their schedule next weekend as they travel to State College, Pa., to participate in the Penn State University Invitational.
