MONMOUTH MEN’S TENNIS POSTS 5-2 VICTORY OVER WAGNER
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University’s men’s tennis squad ran its record to 4-2 on the season with a 5-2 victory over Wagner College at the MU Tennis Complex Sunday afternoon.
Brian Connolly led the Monmouth charges with a pair of victories. Connolly posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 5 singles. He also teamed with Jan Humphreys to post an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Chad Long triumphed at No. 1 singles for the Hawks with a 6-3, 6-2 win
over Wagner’s Steve Schwartz. Ali Gilak waltzed to a 6-2, 6-0 win over
the Seahawks’ Josh Pruett at No. 2 singles. Monmouth’s Nick Dargene posted
a 6-1, 6-0 romp over James Cardazzone at No. 3 singles. Chris Doyle registered
the Hawks’ final victory, 6-3, 6-3 over Arun Nebnani at No. 6 singles.
