HAWKS DROP ROAD CONTEST TO ST. FRANCIS (PA.)
WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University men's tennis opened a two-match road swing through Pennsylvania with a 6-1 loss to St. Francis (Pa.) in Loretto on Saturday.
The loss dropped Monmouth to 5-3 on the season.
Chirs Doyle tallied Monmouth's lone singles victory as he posted a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of Kevin Sommers at No. 6 singles. Andy Katz and Brian Connolly teamed up to post an 8-4 victory over Zack Hughes and Sommers at No. 3 doubles.
Monmouth returns to action on Sunday as they travel to Moon Township,
Pa. for a contest at Robert Morris.
