Men's College Soccer-Bronc Fall Classic

St. Joseph's University 2, Rider University 1

 LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ--Philadelphia and St. Joseph's Universities both went 2-0 in the Bronc Fall Classic this weekend at Rider University with 2-1 victories on Sunday.

In the second game, Rider (0-2) led 1-0 on a first-half goal by senior Bob Francis (Richboro, PA/Council Rock) before St. Joseph's (2-0) scored twice in a span of 19 seconds to take a 2-1 lead with 33 minutes left to play.

In the first game, Monmouth (0-2) took a 1-0 lead before Andy Zayas scored twice for the Rams of Philadelphia.  The game-winner was scored on a direct kick from 20 yards with 17 minutes left in the game.

 Philadelphia out-shot Monmouth 10-9.  Philadelphia goalkeeper Scott Nixon made five saves, while Monmouth goalkeeper Mike Erskine made three saves.

 Rider out-shot St. Joseph's 12-11.  Rider sophomore goalkeeper Brian Gill (Smithtown, NY/St. Anthony's) made two saves, while Hawk goalkeeper Kevin Dougher made four saves.
