Men's College Soccer-Bronc Fall Classic

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ--St. Joseph's and Philadelphia Universities were winners Saturday in the first round of the Bronc Fall Classic, hosted by Rider University.
In the first game, St. Joseph's (1-0) was led by Andrew Kulinski, who scored twice, and Ryan Dougherty, who scored the first goal and assisted on the second.
In the second game, Philadelphia (1-0) ended the game in the 108th minute with a goal by Andy Zayas.
Philadelphia out-shot Rider (0-1) 18-15, including 3-1 in overtime. Rider sophomore goalkeeper Brian Gill (Smithtown, NY/St. Anthony's) made five saves. Philadelphia goalkeeper Scott Nixon made six saves.
St. Joseph's out-shot Monmouth (0-1) 19-15. St. Joseph's goalkeeper Kevin Dougher made six saves, while Monmouth goalkeeper Mike Erskine made 11 saves.
On Sunday, Monmouth takes on Philadelphia at 12 noon, with Rider hosting St. Joseph's at 2:30.
