Welcome to the ESL Resources site! This page provides an overview of all resources the Writing Center has available for ESL and Language Minority writers. The quick reference guide below will provide a description of those resources available under each heading. When you are ready to access a specific page, please choose from the menu on the left.

(Note: These pages provide a list and description of the materials we have available. To access these materials, you must come to the Writing Center.)

• Text Resources are books and workbooks that are available for you to use at the Writing Center. These print resources can be used to strengthen grammar and vocabulary. Some may be used independently while others are better used with a Writing Assistant during a session at the Writing Center. These resources must be used at the Writing Center and cannot be loaned out.

• Software Resources are programs that are available on specific computers in the Writing Center. All of these programs help strengthen grammar and vocabulary skills, and some also offer exercises in pronunciation. These programs may be used independently or with the help of a Writing Assistant. These software programs must be used at the Writing Center and cannot be loaned out.

• Online Resources are Web sites that you can access in or outside of the Writing Center. These Web sites contain exercises and tutorials that will strengthen your grammar and vocabulary skills.

Note to Faculty: If you have identified a student as an ESL or Language Minority writer, please apprise him or her of the resources that are available at the Writing Center. The Writing Center also offers one-on-one tutoring with Writing Assistants who have experience with ESL and Language Minority writers.
