Community Campus Partnerships for Health

Advocacy: To promote the advancement of individual, community, and global physical, mental, and behavioral health and wellness.
Education: To increase knowledge and awareness of important issues related to physical, mental, and behavioral health and wellness.
Research and Scholarship: To serve as a facilitator, repository, and distributor of current physical, mental, and behavioral health and wellness research, policies, practices, programs, and services.
Service: To provide and/or assist in the delivery of quality physical, mental, and behavioral health and wellness programs and services.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Center for Human and Community Wellness (CHCW) at Monmouth University provides a forum wherein various disciplines and resources of Monmouth University combined with local communities and their resources will outline direction for practice and research in promoting well-being of individuals, groups, and communities.
Through university and community collaboration and partnerships the Center will contribute to the advancement of physical, mental and social well-being of all people through education, practice, research and promotion of public health policies conducive to health. Some of the strategies for promoting health and well-being will be: service learning, community-based participatory research, broad-based coalitions, and other partnership strategies.
