Counseling & Prevention Services

Counseling and Prevention Services (CPS) is one component of the University’s integrative team of health professionals providing holistic care for students’ well-being. CPS offers brief, episodic counseling to reduce symptoms and support students in addressing mild to moderate general mental health and substance use concerns.

Students can schedule individual appointments by calling 732-571-7517 or stopping into the office.

Cost and Eligibility

Counseling is free and accessible to students who are: currently enrolled and actively attending class(es) at the University during academic sessions; engaged in University sanctioned pre/post-season athletics; and/or working as a student employee (Work-Study or Student Help) for the University during Winter Recess or Summer Session AND registered for classes for current/next academic cycle.

Based on current licensure and regulations, students need to be physically present in New Jersey at the time of sessions to receive services.
