International Student Services

The Global Education Office welcomes all new and continuing international students and scholars to Monmouth University. We have a long tradition of welcoming students and scholars from around the world to our learning community. They bring a diversity of cultures and academic experiences that enrich the campus community and beyond. This page contains important information for prospective and continuing international students and scholars.  For a general overview of our office’s services, please consult our section of the International Admissions website.

All new international students and scholars MUST CHECK IN with the GEO upon arrival on campus. Every new international member arriving at Monmouth University has a set of arrival instructions and formalities based on their visa status that must be recorded and updated with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). After students receive admission to Monmouth University, the GEO reaches out to each student to support them through the visa application process, pre-departure tasks, and on-site orientations (including the International Student Orientation, held before the Fall and Spring semesters).  We encourage students to read what the GEO sends them for a lot of hints about “next steps.”

Mission Statement

The Global Education Office (GEO) supports international students and faculty by providing a caring environment of advocacy, assistance with visas, and cultural programming to enable them to achieve their educational goals and realize their potential as leaders.
