Hawks Fly Together for Relief was an initiative that was launched by Monmouth University students and employees in response to the catastrophic impact of Hurricane Sandy on the Jersey Shore and the entire East Coast. Even before classes were able to restart after the storm, many Monmouth students expressed a strong desire to raise funds, make donations, and volunteer their efforts to the restoration of our local community. We love the passion and heart that students, employees, alumni, community members, and all else involved are putting toward the aftermath volunteer and donation efforts.
The purpose of Hawks Fly Together for Relief is to promote a unified campus and a unified fundraising effort. We assisted all clubs and organizations, individual students, employees, and alumni in locating fundraising events, drives, and volunteer opportunities that specifically aimed to assist members of the Monmouth community and New Jersey Hurricane Sandy victims. We still encourage you to support one another and each others' events. Monmouth is a strong and caring university. By combining our efforts, we were able to gain more funds and donations for our specific cause and truly embrace our Monmouth Hawks Fly Together mantra.
