MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY STUDENT WINS 2013 LAW ENFORCEMENT AWARD

The Monmouth University Police Department is pleased to announce that criminal justice major Julia Schmidt is this year’s recipient of the Monmouth University Police Department Law Enforcement Award.  She received a $850 award.

Julia Schmidt, a resident of Manalapan, has a 4.0 average.   Julia has been interested in law enforcement since the 9th grade when she attended a Student Police Academy.  She has recently interned with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and is hoping to seek employment with them upon graduating. Ultimately, Julia wishes to continue her education and attain a law degree.

The Monmouth University Police Department Law Enforcement Award is given to a criminal justice major with a strong GPA and a background in community service organizations.  The award is made possible through contributions from members of the Monmouth University Police Department.
