Monmouth University is pleased to announce that its Leon Hess Business School Student Story video has been named as finalist in the Association of Educational Publishers Awards (AEP) 2012 Beacon Awards, the highest standard for quality, professional educational resources and excellence in education marketing. The AEP annual awards and its seal of excellence are widely recognized throughout the industry as a mark of outstanding accomplishment. Beacon Award winners will be announced at the Beacon Awards Luncheon held in June in Washington, DC.

“We have outstanding students doing terrific things,” said Dr. Robert Mc Caig, vice president for enrollment management at the University. “It’s an honor to be able to showcase their efforts, and exciting to be acknowledged for the quality with which we’ve done it.”

The Beacon Awards for education marketing highlight the departments and agencies that do the behind-the-scenes legwork for successful education products and services. Beacon Award finalists and winners create effective branding and engaging messages that communicate the value of their products or their clients’ products to teachers, administrators, and parents. Entries are judged on design and editorial quality, efficacy in reaching intended audience, and overall cohesiveness.
