The Monmouth University 2011 Employee Giving Campaign raised $242,960, setting a record and beating its goal of $225,000. Employee participation almost tripled since 2004, with 67% of full-time employees contributing to the campaign.

A New Record Is Set!

“Thank you to the dedicated employees of Monmouth University. You are generous indeed. In fact you are national leaders in giving back to the school that employees you,” commented President Paul G. Gaffney II. “Your charitable donations help support student scholarships and programs. An added bonus is when we share the impressive number of employees participating in the campaign to external constituents, alumni, and parents; it motivates them to give as well.”

The campaign has raised over $1.2 million dollars in six years.

“The Employee Giving Campaign is a vehicle for employees to come together to achieve a common goal: to demonstrate pride in their institution above and beyond what they do on an everyday basis,” stated Vice President for University Advancement Jeff Mills.

The campaign has a dedicated employee giving captain for each University area and markets the campaign with personal outreach from gift officers, e-mail, and employee events such as appreciation day and a recognition luncheon.

Monmouth University student Yvonne Briddell ’12 stated: “I am a recipient of an Academic Excellence Scholarship, so I understand how important support to the University is.  Without employee gifts, it would be impossible for some students to receive a great education from Monmouth University. I am so thankful to be attending this University and creating relationships with outstanding faculty and staff.”
