PAWS FOR A CAUSE K-9 DEMONSTRATION ON MARCH 27 AT MONMOUTH U

Monmouth University's Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society will host a K-9 Demonstration by the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. in The Rebecca Stafford Student Center, Anacon Hall. Visitors should enter campus through the Larchwood Avenue entrance and park in Lot 18. The event is free and open to the public.

K-9 officers from the Monmouth County Sheriff's Department will demonstrate suspect apprehension, narcotics and explosive detection, as well as obedience training. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated, and all proceeds will be used to purchase K-9 bulletproof vests.

This event is sponsored by the Monmouth University Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Omega Theta Phi chapter, and the Department of Criminal Justice.

Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate and graduate students of criminal justice, as well as Juris Doctorate students. The goals of Alpha Phi Sigma are to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity. Alpha Phi Sigma is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society, which is a certified member of The Association of College Honor Societies and affiliated with The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
