The MSIS program requires applicants to have earned an undergraduate degree in business administration, computer science, software engineering, information technology, or information science, or majored in a field that required a substantial component of software development and/or business administration, with a minimum 2.5 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in the undergraduate major.
Applicants to the Technology Track should have completed courses equivalent to program development I and II, data structures and algorithms, management and organizational behavior, and principles of software engineering.
Applicants to the Management Track should have completed courses equivalent to program development I, management and organizational behavior, principles of software engineering, financial accounting, and economics for management
Applicants who have not completed one or more of the courses above will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. They may be required to complete some or all of the foundation courses, which are available as part of the MSIS program, in addition to the required courses in each track.
