• Mathematics Gateway Exams

    About the Exams

    All students wishing to enroll in certain math courses are required to pass two gateway exams. Exam 1/2 should be taken while completing the first two semesters of calculus, as it is a prerequisite for Calculus III and Linear Algebra. Exam 3 should be taken some time during the sophomore year, as it is a prerequisite for Number Theory, Geometry, Probability and Statistics II, Modern Algebra, and Introduction to Mathematical Modeling.

    The exams require 75 minutes and are taken in HH308 during one of the following timeslots (Fall 2014)

    Mondays: 4:00pm-5:15pm with Dr. Micah Chrisman (mchrisma@monmouth.edu

    Tuesdays: 10:00am-11:15am with Dr. Zachary Kudlak (zkudlak@monmouth.edu

    Tuesdays: 2:30pm-4:00pm with D. Emanuel Palsu-Andriescu (epalsu@monmouth.edu)

    Wednesdays: 4:30pm-5:45pm with Dr. Bonnie Gold (bgold@monmouth.edu)

    Please e-mail the faculty member who is proctoring the exam no less than 24 hours before you sit for the exam. 

    If you are late for an exam, it is the discretion of the faculty member as to whether you may take the exam during the scheduled period.
