Dr. Lynn Romeo is the Dean of the School of Education at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Dr. Romeo also directs the Office of Certification, Field Placements, and School Partnerships.
Dr. Romeo has been an Associate Dean, Department Chair, and Graduate Program Director. She was also a former primary grade classroom teacher, reading specialist, learning consultant, public school administrator, and director of a literacy center. She teaches graduate literacy courses for teachers who are studying to become reading specialist and literacy coaches.
Dr. Romeo's research interests include electronic dialoguing, mentoring, Literacy Exploration Labs, and early literacy and language development. Her work has been published in many national and international publications.
Dr. Romeo lives in New Jersey and Clearwater Beach, Florida with her husband Harry. She has two children, Michael, a guitarist and composer, and Kristie, a teacher as well as four grandchildren, Tia, Michael Nicholas, Jake, and Zach, ages 18 , 13, 10, and 7. Her interests include reading, walking, biking, dancing, and gardening.
