    MSEd in School Counseling

    This program in school counseling is a 48-credit curriculum that focuses on the preparation of professional school counselors. The New Jersey Department of Education has endorsed Monmouth's School of Education as an administrative liaison for the certification of students. School counseling students who successfully complete the program will receive a New Jersey Department of Education Certificate for School Counseling.

    MSEd in Student Affairs and College Counseling

    This program in student affairs and college counseling is a 48-credit curriculum that focuses on the preparation of professional student affairs and college counselors. Students who successfully complete the program will be able to apply for positions at the college and university levels.

    Graduate Endorsement: Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC)

    The SAC endorsement program is intended for candidates who want to be certified as student assistance coordinators. SACs work with students in many New Jersey school districts to address substance abuse issues, social and emotional issues, and behavioral problems. Those who complete this endorsement program will meet the New Jersey course requirements for certification as a SAC.

    Post-Master's Endorsement: Director of School Counseling Services

    Monmouth offers a Director of School Counseling endorsement that is designed for students interested in becoming student services administrators. These individuals will meet New Jersey requirements for certification once they complete the program along with three years of service as a school counselor.

    Five-Year Program: BA in Psychology and MSEd in School Counseling

    The Five-Year Program enables students to complete a bachelor's and master's degree within a five-year time frame. Only first-year students who qualify at the time of admission are accepted into the program. Students in the Five-Year Program begin graduate work in counseling in their senior year, thus reducing the amount of full-time graduate study.
