| Members of the Middle States Steering Committee, made up of fourteen subcommittees (See Newsletter Number 1), met several times during 2004-2005 to report on their progress in writing their draft documents. During April and May 2005, they submitted their documents or chapters, which are currently being edited. | |
| We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the steering committee chairs and their teams for their hard work and diligence in delivering their chapters in such a timely manner. We also extend our deep appreciation to Drs. Kenneth R. Stunkel, Stanley Blair, and Julius Adekunle for their expert help with the editing process. | |
| The first edited draft of the Middle States Report will be posted on the Monmouth University Web site in early October 2005 for review and comments by the Monmouth community. | |
| Dr. Jose Jaime Rivera, president of the University of the Sacred Heart located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, will be the Chair of the Visiting Middle States Team. His preliminary visit to Monmouth University is scheduled for October 30-31, 2005. We will be forwarding the Middle States Report to him prior to his visit for his review and comments. | |
| During his visit, Dr. Rivera will be meeting with a few members of the Monmouth community to discuss criteria for the visit of the Middle States Team on March 20-23, 2006. | |
