Jewish Cultural Studies Program
Building Bridges to Judaism and the Jewish Communities in Monmouth County
2004-2005 to 2010-2013
Jacob Landau's Holocaust Suite provides a multi-faceted window through which this dark and difficult period of human history can be studied.
The Jewish Cultural Studies Program has existed at Monmouth University since Spring 2004. The program activities have been inclusive and of high quality, and have attracted wide attention in the community and in the media. Monmouth University has benefited both from the program’s activities and the resultant good will.
Monmouth University’s Jewish Culture Studies Program has focused on coordinating some activities with area synagogues, the Jewish Federation of Monmouth County, the Jewish Community Center, and the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education Center at Brookdale Community College. All events are publicized and are free and open to the public.
Over the years, the Jewish Cultural Studies Program has received generous support from Monmouth University, ARAMARK Corporation, and Amboy National Bank, as well as a group of Hollywood Golf Club members.
