A variety of honors courses are offered during the fall and spring semesters, including "cluster" courses and those that are not clustered. A "cluster" consists of two courses—in two different subjects—that share common themes and assignments. For instance, a 100-level honors course in English can be "clustered" with a 100-level honors course in history, psychology, political science, or anthropology. Each "cluster" course is limited to 20 students.
Honors courses are available in many academic departments—from math to music, chemistry to economics. These courses enable students to experience the close interaction and deep discussion that are hallmarks of Monmouth University's Honors School.
