History of the Holiday Ball
Members of the 2007 Library Association and Holiday Ball committee at Ball

Holiday designer Susan Musica (center) is honored for her years of service to the Ball. The award was presented by master of ceremonies Karl Gordinier, Jr. and President Paul G. Gaffney II.
The Holiday Ball was founded more than three decades ago by the Monmouth University Library Association.
Through the years, the Library Association has raised nearly $3 million in support of the University’s Library. Their commitment in support of Monmouth University’s students has played an important part in our ongoing success story.
In 2008, Monmouth University President Paul G. Gaffney II combined the University’s annual Scholarship Ball with the Holiday Ball to create a single fundraising gala dedicated to student scholarships. The Monmouth University Holiday Ball now serves as the culmination of a year-long scholarship campaign, with net revenue from the Holiday Ball going toward student scholarships.
The Holiday Ball owes a debt of gratitude to holiday designer Susan Musica for her 20 years of hard work and generosity in helping to transform Wilson Hall into a magical winter wonderland each year. In 2007, Mrs. Musica was honored for her years of service with a Congressional citation.
