Honors and Honor Cords
Undergraduate students who have maintained a 3.5 overall GPA will be recognized for graduating with honors. Degree candidates should first review their most current degree audit to determine if they meet these qualifications. They should also speak to their advisors to confirm this information. Once the finals are over, the Office of Registration and Records (ORR) will run all of the grades.
Honor society and non-academic honor cords will be distributed by the advisor for each of the relevant organizations. If you are currently a member of such an organization, you should contact your advisor to determine if and when honor cords will be distributed to the graduating members.
Bachelor's candidates who transferred to Monmouth University from another college or university must have completed no fewer than 56 Monmouth University credits in order to receive an academic honor cord.
Graduate students are not eligible for honor cords unless provided by their specific academic discipline's honor society.
