• Assessments, Counseling, Recommendations and Referrals

The Office of Substance Awareness provides free and confidential alcohol and drug assessments, as well as short-term counseling. Relapse prevention counseling sessions are also available to students in early sobriety and recovery. These sessions are provided by a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor. Assessments are also mandated as part of their sanction for students who have violated the University's alcohol and drug policy.

Referrals are provided for students who may benefit from ongoing counseling, either in an outpatient or inpatient setting. The Substance Awareness Coordinator is available to assist in this process.
