Off-Campus Housing
Facts and Information
Pier Village
- 11 Month Contract – No Cancellations Permitted.
- Located on the beachfront.
- First floor level has shops, restaurants, and other businesses!
- Move in during the summer and stay for the fall and spring semesters. No charge to stay during the break.
- You must pay the resident student parking fee to obtain a commuter decal for campus and a parking hang tag for top level of the Pier Village garage facility.
- All apartments are four-person and have two double occupancy bedrooms.
- Monmouth University only provides basic cable and internet.
- No Meal Plan required.
- Located at One Chelsea Avenue, Long Branch.
- Fully furnished apartments with living room, two bathrooms, and full kitchen.
Fountain Gardens
- School Year Contract – September to May.
- Temporary housing at local hotel from 9/3/12 to 9/7/12.
- Official Move-in to the complex on 9/7/12.
- Two-Person (one double occupancy bedroom) and Four-Person (two double occupancy bedrooms) apartments available.
- There is one assigned parking space per bedroom (one space for a two-person apartment, two spaces for a four-person apartment). Street parking available for other residents and guests.
- Monmouth University provides basic cable and internet.
- No Meal Plan required.
- Located at 732 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch.
- Fully furnished apartments with living room, bathroom, and full kitchen.
Diplomat Apartments
- Students can either select an 11 month contract (move-in mid/late June) with a late move-out in May OR select a 9-month contract (move-in for the Fall semester) with a move-out date of the last day of finals.
- Located right on the boardwalk!
- All apartments are two-person with one double occupancy bedroom.
- There is one assigned parking space per apartment. Street parking available for other residents and guests.
- Monmouth University only provides basic cable and internet.
- No Meal Plan required.
- Located at 590 Ocean Blvd, Long Branch.
- Fully furnished apartments with living room, bathroom, and full kitchen.
Important Notes:
- All complexes are considered “Quiet Friendly” since there are non-Monmouth University residents living at the complex as well. Expectations are higher for students selected to live at these complexes.
- Preference will be given to groups that can fill an entire apartment to avoid roommate conflicts.
- Monmouth University does not provide any shuttle service for any of the complexes. Students must provide their own transportation.
- Financial Aid can be used to cover the housing costs (if applicable).
- Residential Life staff and property management staff live on-site at each complex.
- Once you have agreed to live at one of these complexes, you cannot participate in housing selection. All students are subjet to a $500 cancellation fee if they cancel their contract.
- On-campus students must still pay their housing deposit.
- Commuters are encouraged to apply as well.
