
The African American Read-In celebrates African-American authors and their works. Readings take place on campus throughout the day.

This year's event focuses on literature written by African-American authors for children and teens. West Side Christian Academy has invited mayors, community leaders, and others to read. It has also arranged for the attendance of about 100 children from local schools.
