Class of 1974
Monmouth has such a beautiful campus. I have fond memories of riding my bicycle around the campus and to the beach. The Inkwell was a good place to meet friends and playing frisbee by Elmwood Hall was fun. I particularly enjoyed my classes in the beautiful Wilson Hall. My favorite professor was Arie Van Everdingen.

Class of 1985
The Student Center, in which the TKE table was a round table in the immediate right corner. If you were hungry you paid Addie the little red haired cafeteria lady for your goods! The radio station was on the 3rd floor, and it burned down and was rebuilt over a year later. My most memorable profs included "Yarmy" (Dr Yarmachuk), Prof Rich, Prof Lisankie (Marketing & Adv), Dr. Portuondo and Coates (Languages). Extra curricular memories include the TKEs and other Greeks and their parties, Greek Weeks, Spring Weekends, Thursday nights at Club Spanky’s, which I think the band was "The Passions", Pier Pub, Tradewinds, the beach, hot dogs and mushrooms at the Windmill, and a place that delivered strombolis.

Class of 1960
Felix Moltzer at the Aeolian Organ every Friday afternoon. I think I took every class he taught. Monmouth was indeed the best four years of my life as I spend these retirement days digitizing old slides mostly of the wonderful friends I made.

Class of 1979
I have fond memories of the Social Work
department and all the learning and fun that the social work students were involved in. Mrs. Greta Singer was our
advisor who was supportive and helped us in many ways. Monmouth was
smaller then but always provided a
friendly and supportive learning environment. I currently work as a counselor for CVR in Eatontown NJ.
I often wonder if any graduates from that year are still in the area.

Class of 1972
Long time ago... but great memories of the Ink Well, West End, war protests. There actually was a swimming pool in front of Wilson Hall. Walking through amazing architecture every day. Always sunny days.

Class of 1975
We used to play football on the large field at the libray. I remember studying for finals at the beach and on the roof of the Library. The science Hall was great, it seemed like a place where you could get away and the professors were great to talk to. Baseball (and basketball) were the top sports then. Summer courses can’t be beat, it’s a whole different atmosphere.

Class of 1976
Smoking in class? There were tiny stamped tin ash-trays on most desks in 1972-73 and during exams the closed windows in the history/govt. building caused the room to fill with smoke. The rules were changed in 1973 after I organized a letter writing campaign and wrote editorial in "The Outlook". This was, perhaps my only real contribution at Monmouth but I remember the battle well. Free Springsteen concerts, 33.5 cent gas and $77.00 per credit classes. 4 years of great memories....and great friends. E-mail me if you wish to catch up!

Class of 1977
It is difficult to know where to begin; I have so many happy memories of Monmouth. I’ll always remember: The new(at that time) Student Center; Delta Sigma Phi; parties Thursday nights (we could drink at 18 then); keg parties; going with the pledges for a weekend to Penn State; The Ink Well; Elmwood Hall; Laurel Hall (my first home away from home); Wilson Hall; all of my friends; breakfast at 3am in Long Branch; my first true Jersey shore pizza (coming from Connecticut, there was no pizza like Jersey pizza); Asbury Park’s Asbury Jutes. I could go on and on because those were the best days. I would never change them for anything. We are now all grown up with children of our own and trying to pass on to them a legacy! Best Wishes, Kathy Sullivan, Class of 1977

I remember when Monmouth moved from Long Branch High School to the the
campus in a pick-up truck. My mother Ruth L Bayly worked for Monmouth
when it was at the high school until her retirement and was the the ad
visor for MAP.

Memories of the outdoor swimming pool ... I do it was mighty cold when
I took swimming lessons in it! The Christmas dances that faculty,
staff, students and families attended...the first open houses for the community to see the campus...the dining hall in the main building...
the movie Annie being filmed at Monmouth and then seeing it with my
daughter who was five and wanted to stay to see all the credits and
exclaimed that is where my Grammy works! Basketball games in Convention
Hall in Asbury Park and then the new Boylan gym...Ron Kongay playing
basketball for Monmouth...and the memories go on.....

Best wishes on being 75!

I can’t even begin to pin point one specific memory. My years at Monmouth were all very rewarding in so many ways! I made many friendships with people that I could not possibly imagine my life without! Among some of my cherished memories would be:
-move in day freshman year to Pinewood hall
-"Lake Pinewood"
-Pledging AST
-Spring RAGE
-Orientation Leader
-Student Ambassador
-the morning crossing guard on cedar avenue...one word..."cross!"
-my senior year in the Garden Apartments

Who could forget the Laff In on Thursday nites-roaches, fatbox at the door and hiding in the bathroom?

How do you compete with any Phi Sig bash?

MY DPHIE sisters who rock and still support me. Pledging DPHIE was the best thing that happened to me at MU. I still cherish sisterhood.

The windmill -splitting a cheese fry and chicken sandwich at 2am.

The list could go on and on...but my four years at MU were awesome.

Class of 2003
I have so many memories from the good ol days at MU, but the one sticking out in my mind now is when ZTA won Greek Week my senior year! ZTA was overall my favorite memory. Being a part of that family made me who I am today.

Class of 2005
I have some pretty great memories of MU! I can still remember move in day at Elmwood Hall. I remember how nervous I was...waiting in line to get my key! I can still remember the Underground Pizza/Sub Shop at Elmwood, the year without an Underpass, I remember the crossing guard, I remember McAllan Hall before it was McAllan Hall, I remember the Plangere Center before it was built. I remember jackhammers pounding at 7am in the Quad to build the underpass! Most importantly I remember friends. I remember my first real Spring Break! I remember moving off campus for the first time. I remember the first time I got involved on campus. I remember Homecomings, 9/11, a New President, and so much more, but most of all I will never forget the day that Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity was approved on campus! That day will always be my best memory!

Class of 2005
To pick out one favorite memory from my time at Monmouth would definitely be a tough task to accomplish. Maybe it is something in the air, or maybe it’s the fact that I have been away for about two and a half year, I find myself reminiscing about the fun I had and the friends I made at my time at MU! Some of the great memories that I have are New Student Orientation…both my own orientation as a freshman and the many others that I assisted with as an Orientation Leader, great times living in the residence halls (Spruce/Great Lawn Apartments) and off campus around Long Branch, the fun times with The Student Activities Board S.A.B., Student Government, and Sigma Tau Gamma!
