Admission Timeline: 2009/2010 Academic Year

September

The Office of Undergraduate Admission begins to notify students of preliminary scholarship awards. The scholarships are based upon unofficial SAT/ACT and GPA information provided by the student. (Students should call to learn how much they qualify for.)

October

10 – National SAT Examination
11 – Open House 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
17 – Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.
24 – National ACT Examination

Potential freshmen start to apply for fall admission via the Early Action or Regular Decision process.* Transfer students start to apply for the spring semester.****

November

7 – National SAT Examination
14 – Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.
21 - Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.

Incoming Freshman and Transfer students continue to submit their applications.

December

1 – Early Action deadline. Application must be complete** and in the Office of Undergraduate Admission for students who wish to be considered for Early Action. Early Action must also be indicated on the application.
Transfer application deadline for the spring semester.
5 - National SAT Examination
5 - Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.
12 - National ACT Examination

January

1 – Free Application for Federal Student Aid form issued for the 2009/2010 academic year.
15 – Early Action notification date.
23 – National SAT Examination
23 - Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.
30 – Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.

Students accepted Early Action begin to submit their enrollment deposit to secure their place in the class.***

February

6 - National ACT Examination (not offered in New York)
13 - Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.
27 - Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.

Accepted students continue to submit their enrollment deposit.

March

1 – Regular Decision deadline. Application must be complete** and in the Office of Undergraduate Admission for students who wish to be considered for Regular Decision. Applications received or incomplete after this date will be reviewed on a space available basis.
13 - National SAT Examination
20 - Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.
27 – Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.

Students continue to submit their enrollment deposit. Transfer students begin to apply for the fall semester.****

April

1 – Regular Decision Notification Date.
10 - National ACT Examination
17 - Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.
24 – Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.

Students finalize their decision of the college they plan to attend in the fall.

May

1 – National Candidate Reply Deadline.
1 – National SAT Examination (For High School Juniors) 
8 - Saturday Information Session 10 a.m.

June

5 – National SAT Examination (For High School Juniors)
12 – National ACT Examination (For High School Juniors)

July

Students are given housing assignments. Students come to campus for summer Orientation, including placement testing and advisement. Deposited transfer students are sent housing contracts.
15 – Transfer Fall application deadline.

August

Placement testing and course selection is complete for incoming students.


* Please refer to the definition of Early Action and Regular Decision prior to submitting application.

** Complete application includes signed application, application fee of $50, official transcripts, and official SAT/ACT scores.

*** For Early Action and Regular Decision Candidates: Welcome Kits, including all necessary housing and parking information, are mailed after receipt of the $200 enrollment deposit. Housing and parking are not guaranteed and will be assigned on first-come, first-served basis. Housing and parking is secured when we receive the required housing contract, housing deposit, parking contract, and parking deposit if applicable.

**** Transfer applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
