Rebecca received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University in 2000 and a her Master's Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2002. During the second year of her Master's program, she spent two months in Chennai, India studying Social Work and Community Development. Rebecca has spent her professional career working with children diagnosed with chronic and life-threatening illness, developmental delays, and disabilities. She has experience providing case management, advocacy services, and individual and group counseling with children and their families.

Research Interests:

A chapter leader for NJ BirthNetwork and a volunteer administrator for Human Milk for Human Babies, New Jersey, Professor McCloskey’s areas of practice and activism include maternal and child health and holistic healing and wellness, maternal mental health, informed consent and the rights of mothers and families related to childbirth and breastfeeding, and breast milk sharing.
