$TART $MART IS AN INTERATIVE WORKSHOP DESIGNED TO GIVE COLLEGE STUDENTs THE CONFIDENCE AND SKILLS THEY NEED TO EARN FAIR COMPENSATION
The $tart $mart workshop at Monmouth University is tailored to Monmouth University students. The workshops will provide benchmarks for salary and benefits for job seekers in central New Jersey as well as offering exercises and role plays that will build negotiation skills. In order to negotiate effectively a job seeker needs to understand the local market and what other similar companies are paying for similar work.
Also, many young people do not know how much they have to earn in their area to meet their needs. $tart $mart offers exercises to determine your personal budget to find out if you can afford to take the job you are seeking.
