Mathematics Gateway Exams
About the Exams
All students wishing to enroll in certain math courses are required to pass two gateway exams. Exam 1/2 should be taken while completing the first two semesters of calculus, as it is a prerequisite for Calculus III and Linear Algebra. Exam 3 should be taken some time during the sophomore year, as it is a prerequisite for MA 314, MA 317, MA 320, MA 410, and MA 419.
The exams require 60 minutes, and are taken on a drop-in basis during one of the following timeslots (Spring 2012):
Mondays: 10:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. (except 4/9/12) in HH308 or 1 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. in HH308

Fridays: 1 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. in HH307
The gateway exam coordinator is Dr. Micah Chrisman.
