Research Interests:

Field of study is eighteenth-century British literature, with interest in women's studies, as well as reception history, and genre and narrative theory.

Scholarly Articles:

Dr. Goulding has published articles on Mary Leapor, Letitia Pilkington, and Aphra Behn; the most recent article is about the nuns in Aphra Behn's prose fiction in Volume 10 (Fall 2008) of Interdisciplinary Literary Studies. Dr. Goulding’s longer project addresses the relationship between biography and reception history for eighteenth-century women writers. She is working on articles on Isak Dinesen’s short fiction, and on Mary Robinson’s sonnet sequence, Sapho and Phaon.
