Monmouth University's Department of Software Engineering is a community of engineers and information technology professionals committed to providing high-quality education in the areas of software engineering and information technology for a diverse population of both graduate and undergraduate students. This is achieved by integrating scholarship and industrial experience into our innovative curricula. We provide a complete education to our software engineering students in pursuit of their professional degrees, which includes developing the ability to find creative engineering solutions to technical problems that impact our community and society.
We provide all University students with a foundation in information technology, which assists them in effectively and efficiently achieving educational goals in their chosen field of study. For those students who have a broad interest in information technology but do not want to specialize in software engineering, we offer minor and certificate programs in information technology, which provide non-majors with the technical skills and ethical principals necessary to help specify the information systems needs of an organization.
