Conducting Research in Psychology
Individuals who wish to have access to the Psychology Department's Human Research Participant Pool or any other undergraduate psychology classes for research purposes must first have:
- successfully completed PY320 and PY311 (or an acceptable equivalent elsewhere, not at Monmouth);
- completed the NIH training procedures for conducting research with human participants;
- obtained prior approval of the proposed study from the Monmouth University Institutional Review Board; and
- made the request in writing to the chair of the Department of Psychology in order to determine if the request can be satisfied.
