There are many benefits to studying music industry at Monmouth:
ONE OF FEW SCHOOLS TO OFFER MUSIC INDUSTRY
Monmouth is one of only a handful of institutions in the country to offer a concentration in music industry. Few students have this opportunity to study applied music along with the business methods behind music production and distribution.

EXPERIENCED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE FACULTY
Monmouth's faculty members have years of experience in making popular and successful music. For instance, they have worked as record producers, arrangers, directors, and studio musicians.
REAL-WORLD, HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
As part of Monmouth's commitment to experiential education, students take part in a 3-credit music-business internship (MU 401) that provides them with valuable experience in the industry. Because the University is only one hour from New York City and Philadelphia, students can pursue a variety of internship opportunities.
COURSES THROUGH MONMOUTH'S TOP BUSINESS SCHOOL
Students in the music industry concentration also take business courses through the Leon Hess Business School, honored as one of the best business schools in North America by The Princeton Review. These courses provide a nice complement to the core music courses.
"I chose MU's music industry concentration because it had exactly what I wanted: music AND business classes in one major. I felt that having both types of classes would prepare me for any role in the music business, whether it's performance, management, producing, publishing, or marketing."
