Research Interests:

Dr. Kucharczyk is an inorganic chemist by training; however, she is significantly involved in the organic chemistry program at MU, teaching Organic Chemistry I and II Laboratories and serving as the course coordinator for these laboratories. In addition she teaches General Chemistry and General Chemistry Laboratory. She enjoys her role as advisor to second- and third-year students in the Department’s Medical Laboratory Science and Clinical Laboratory Sciences programs. Her other activities include co-coordinating the School of Science Peer Mentoring Program and the Women in Science and Math at MU (WiSM@MU) program.  Her academic interests lie in the area of science education; she involves herself regularly in SENCER (Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities) activities.  Dr.Kucharczyk received the Hawks Fly Together Leadership Award in recognition of her contributions to the University in 2012.
